What is Cellulite?

Cellulite is a term used for the development of skin lumps and dimples. Cellulite isn’t a disease or medical condition. Instead, it’s the way many people and most women store fat. It appears to occur when collagen declines and fat cells enlarge in your twenties and thirties. Cellulite affects 80 to 90 percent of women. In the development of cellulite, reduced circulation may also play a role, but cellulite does not necessarily mean that you have a blood vessel problem.

Popular names: orange-peel skin, cottage-cheese skin, hail injury, and the mattress phenomenon.

Diagnosis: There are no cellulite screening tests. The characteristic presence of cellulite is enough.

What Causes Cellulite?

  • Diet Genetics
  • Overweight
  • Female sex: Cellulite is prevalent in post-pubertal females
  • Aging: With growing age, the skin loses its elasticity
  • Pregnancy: hormones such as estrogen, insulin, noradrenaline, thyroid hormones, and prolactin.

The fat cells and connective tissue in this layer are vertically organized in women. This gives the appearance of cellulite if the fat cells protrude through the layer of skin.

The tissue has a crisscross pattern in males, which may explain why they are less likely than women to have cellulite.

Ayurvedic practitioners use Gotu Kola, dandelion, milk thistle, parsley, iodine, and ginger for flushing out contaminants, improving circulation, and repairing cells. Gotu Kola is only used as a paste that you apply directly to cellulite, although it is possible to eat other herbs or add them to hot water to make tea.
You can eliminate cellulite by applying vitamin K directly to the affected areas, according to Ayurved Health Care. Before using any herbal remedy, speak to your physician.
The use of herbal medicines that can be digested or added to cellulite is a subject of Ayurvedic care. Gotu Kola is used only as a paste that you specifically apply to cellulite, although it is possible to eat the other herbs or add them to hot water to make tea.

3. Changing eating habits: A diet that is high in fat from fried foods is known as a Kapha diet — this type of diet can cause cellulite and may lead to obesity. A Kapha decreasing diet must be considered. Reducing the consumption of fat, however, would mean having less fat to pass into the tissues. Eating a healthy diet and exercising can, therefore, reduce the appearance of cellulite.

Drink several large glasses of water each day. Eat foods such as salmon that are high in omega-3 fatty acids. These repair and reduce inflammation of skin tissue. Salad greens, spinach, broccoli, walnuts, and Brussels sprouts are other omega-3-rich foods.

Snack on foods such as sunflower seeds and hot peppers that contain vitamin B6. Vitamin B6 repairs the connective tissue and eases the bloating that can render more visible fat dimples. You can also improve the metabolism with capsaicin in hot peppers for as long as three hours after eating them.

4. Essential Oil Remedies: Essential oils are made from natural plant sources, such as fruits and flowers, and are used in the practice of aromatherapy for an array of beauty, emotional and medicinal benefits. Many of these essential oils are reputed to reduce the appearance of cellulite through regular massaging:

  • Cedarwood
  • Clary sage
  • Patchouli
  • Rosemary
  • Cypress
  • Juniper
  • Fennel
  • Lemon
  • Orange
  • Thyme
  • Basil

5. Exercise: Cardio or aerobic exercise enables your body to burn calories, which can lead to fat loss. Start a regimen of weight training designed to tone and firm the muscles in your legs. Exercises for strength training such as push-ups, squats, and lunges help retain muscle mass while developing new muscle tissue.
Exercise three to five times a week. Perform squatting exercises, where cellulite sometimes occurs, to work the muscles in your hamstrings and thighs.

6. Wooden Massager: These promise to smooth the rough surface out. Not only can exercise help hold the fat away, but it will stimulate circulation to warm the muscles. After exercise, a hand massager can also help reduce the build-up of lactic acid in muscle tissue to stop cramping

A hot shower will, as an alternative, promote circulation and relax the muscles. Before massaging with it, add a cellulite cream to the area. Using these creams will help stimulate the flow of blood to the region and enhance a massage. With the rollers touching your skin, lay the massager down on the dimpled area. Using the wooden tool to massage the affected spot, moving in a broad circular pattern.

7. Apple Cider Vinegar: rubbing apple cider vinegar into the affected skin after showering each day is an effective solution for Cellulite removal. For preparing a body wrap using apple cider vinegar, Mix normal water and apple cider vinegar equally and add three to five drops of essential oil, such as lemon and basil, etc. Rub the mixture into the affected areas, cover with plastic wrap, and keep the area warm for half an hour to an hour.

8. Anti-cellulite cream: These can temporarily tighten skin. Application is twice a day. Smooth on the cream after showering in the morning. Apply the second layer at midday. For example; Caffeine based creams tighten skin and can temporarily make cellulite less noticeable.

It begins to arise in your twenties and thirties as collagen decreases and fat cells expand. For some people, the dimples are hereditary. Although cellulite won’t hurt you, it can make you feel self-conscious about the way you look. So go ahead, make your body and the way you feel about it awesome. A balanced mind lives, after all, in a healthy body!!
